Hi, Sara, Thank you for your note. You're right, the lid that comes with the graham cracker crust won't fit because this is such a tall pie. I use toothpicks and plastic wrap to cover it. You could definitely use a 10" pie shell, as well. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Thanks again, Sara! Cara

I would recommend either a larger pie crust or not using all the filling. "Half" filled a good portion of it, and the wafers and bananas pretty much took it the rest of the way, leaving me unable to put a lid on. Still good though.
